Pacific Walkers: A New Collection from Nance Van Wickel

Anticipation is building for Nance Van Winckel's forthcoming poetry collection, Pacific Walkers (2013).

The collection takes its name from the brand of shoes worn by a John Doe, one in a series of unidentified bodies found during Van Winckel's time as a reporter. The poems give voice to the nameless and forgotten--from the anonymous deceased to the portraits in discarded photo albums.

 

Nance Van Winckel is the author of five collections of poetry and three collections of short stories. She is a two-time National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship recipient. You can find more information about her here.
