A retired coach and English teacher, Jim Stinson fell in love with State B basketball after he saw Oakesdale battle Lind for the championship in 1973. Tonight at Aunties, he will be presenting his second book Remembering the B.
According to Stinson's website about his book, "Remembering the B is a basketball book. It also is a book about rural communities and small schools located in big towns. The book traces the complete history of the Washington State 'B' basketball tournament, the most popular high school tournament in the state. Between the boys and girls there have been 101 tournaments played, and the details of all of them are presented. The book contains over 475 photos, 307 logos of the schools that have played in the tournament and all 101 tournament program covers. If you 'Remember the B,' this is the book for you."
